Thunder Road Racin' Fantasy Racing League Official Rules

1. Membership requirements for the 36 race season must be completed NO LATER THAN 1 week prior to the Daytona 500 race.  Memberships are non-refundable for any reason after the season/shootout starts. If you want to play after the season/shootout starts, you will start with a zero at what ever race you begin at. Please submit memberships to the PO Box on the front page of web site.

1a. If you do not want to play the whole season or missed the start of the season try playing in our "TRRL SHOOTOUT”. This will be the last 10 races of the season. Awards will vary due to participation level

1b. Memberships must be paid in full prior to the first race. NO PAY -NO PLAY.NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE!!! This league / web site operates each year based on memberships in both games.

2. All league players MUST have a VALID weekly E-mail address!  Weekly results will be posted to our web site. Results will not be posted to the web site until the race finish is posted as "Official Results". A member of Management will post the official results to the web site no later than Wednesday of each week.

2a. The information posted to the" weekly picks" page is not at anytime an official record of each race. This information is provided to the membership as a "window" to see all of the picks. The information MAY not be posted each week, and it may not be 100% accurate all the time.

2b. Members of the management team may play the games all year, but will forfeit all awards earned back to the league.

3. Weekly picks shall be submitted via the web site.

3a. in cases of technical difficulties or access to a computer is impossible, telephone, cell phone, voice mail and answering machine messages left on a member of management’s telephone(s) are valid entries as long as they are left BEFORE cut off time on race day. Race days are Sat or Sun only. The cut off time for submitting entries for all races is: Start of T.V. coverage. Cut off times for each race will be posted in the NOTE section on the front page of the web site and the schedule page. Rain delays /postponements WILL NOT give you any additional time for submitting numbers.

4.  THIS RULE WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED:

If you have back up "DANGEROUS" numbers on file with your application, management will use those numbers in case of no entry by -email is found for that week.  If no numbers are on file, management will use that weeks top 10 Qualifying order as your pick

If you elect to use the” Dangerous" method of playing each week, you will be stuck using those numbers each week. Dangerous numbers need to be carefully picked.

5. Scoring rules for the SEASON:
Bracket hit in spots
1- 5 = 60 pts
Bracket hit in spots 6 -10 = 40 pts
Bonus points: correctly picking the race winner = + 40 pts
Any direct hit in spots 2-10 = + 30 pts

5a. new bonus points for ’10 season:  All players will get a 10 pt. bonus for EVERY driver that they pick that does not directly score points as in line 5. You will get credit for “upside down’’ picks. Everyone will score points and no more Competition Zeros will be recorded.

 

 

5b. Scoring rules for the TRRL SHOOTOUT:

Bracket hit in spots 1-5 = 5 pts

Bracket hit in spots 6-10 = 5pts

Bonus points: correctly picking the race winner = +10 pts

Any direct hit in spots 2-10 = + 5 pts.

Bracket hit: The finishing order you pick must FINISH the actual race INSIDE the brackets 1-5 or 6-10 for you to earn points for each race.

Example: You pick a driver to finish 2nd and he actually finished 3rd, you score points .You pick a driver to finish 1st and he actually finished 9th, you earn no points for that driver.

 

6. IN CASE OF TIES FOR THE TOP TEN SPOTS, ALL TIE BREAKERS WILL BE BROKEN BY WEEKLY WINS AND THEN BY PREDICTED RACE WINNERS OF ALL AFFECTED PLAYERS.

7.  In case of multiple weekly winners, all players affected will earn one win for that week.

8.  No profanity will be allowed to be posted in or on any page of this website by any member of this league. This covers the guest book and submitting entries pages.

9. Crowning the champion: All season players will have 36 races to earn as many points as possible. The player with the highest point total will be declared the overall winner for the season. The top ten players will earn year end awards.

 10.  Awards for both games will be mailed out at the end of the race season.
